Few buyers need one bearing. A gearbox builder needs deep groove ball bearings for the input shaft, tapered roller bearings for the output and seals for both. A distributor restocks hundreds of designations at once. Running each family through a different supplier means different marking rules, different inspection habits and no single record when a lot comes back noisy.

Bearing quality shows up in numbers you can check: bore and outside diameter against the tolerance class, radial internal clearance against the group you ordered, vibration against the agreed grade, hardness of the rings, and how the seals and grease look when a sample is opened.
